Digital Smart EX Explosion Proof Transmitter

Turtle Tough’s Digital Smart EX Explosion Proof Transmitter for Digital Smart sensors is a plug-and-play device specifically designed for hazardous areas requiring Class I, Division II approval, as well as for even the most stringent Class I, Division I explosion-proof rated areas with remote, extreme and aggressive environmental conditions.

The unit delivers reliable performance and communication in harsh industrial environments while ensuring safe operation in high-risk explosive atmospheres.

Features

• Compatible with Turtle Tough SMART Series sensors • Explosion-proof design, IP68 rated, FM & CSA Class I, Division II approved • ATEX II 2 G D & IECEx d II C T Gb certified • Modbus® RS-485 RTU serial communications (Master, Slave, or Snooper mode) • Programmable display and function keys • Multi-pump alternation control • Optional 2/4 relays + isolated 4-20 mA output

Key Features

• The 6080EX Explosion Proof Smart Digital Transmitter can be programmed as a Modbus RTU Master, Slave, or Snooper • Its Modbus communication capabilities, two process input channels, and mathematical functions make it unique in performance and quality • It can scan up to 16 process variables (PVs), making it ideal for multiple tank level monitoring and control applications • In Master mode, the DSS 6080EX polls up to 16 process variables (PVs) • Each PV (PV1–PV16) can be displayed alternately on the top and/or bottom display • In Snooper mode, up to 8 DSS sensors can be simultaneously interfaced • In this mode, only process value and temperature can be displayed simultaneously • (Abs mV can also be displayed when interfaced with up to 5 sensors maximum)

Process Variables

• Process Value (pH/ORP) • Process Temperature (°C) • Absolute Raw mV • Total Time in Use (Days) • Sensor Item Number • A.P. / mV Offset Calibration • Days Since mV Offset Calibration • Acid Slope Calibration* • Days Since Acid Slope Calibration* • Alkaline (Base) Slope Calibration* • Days Since Base Slope Calibration* • Year of Manufacture • Month of Manufacture • Software Revision • Minimum Temperature in Use (°C) • Maximum Temperature in Use (°C)
